·         Our county accepts Creative Writing entries in:

_____  Poetry           _____  Short Stories            _____  Essays

·         Students who may submit original works include:

_____  Middle school students in grades 7 & 8       _____  High School Students

·         Length cannot exceed 2 pages. You may include as many different poems as will fit on 2 pages.

·         TYPE all pages on 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper, double-spaced, with at least 1” margins on all sides. No handwritten entries will be accepted.

·         Give your poem, short story or essay a title.

·         Identify at the top right hand corner of EACH page:

            Line 1:            Student’s Name

            Line 2:            School (County)

            Line 3:            Grade & Age

            Line 4:            Page Number (Pg. 1 of 1; Pg. 1 of 2)

·         Submit everything in duplicate: TWO (2) copies.

·         Do NOT staple pages together.

·         Anything submitted may be published in the county or state Creative Writing Anthology or used for other Teen Arts purposes.
