Salem County Arts Alliance 

“Salem County students have been exploring the arts at this festival for over 30 years,” said Roxanna Hurst, president of the Arts Alliance of Salem County.  “It's the only event that brings the school districts together to focus on art and creativity in all the artistic disciplines.”

In workshops offered throughout the day provided students explored creative pursuits such as jewelry making, knitting, poetry, graphic arts, leatherwork, and playwriting.  Other workshops focused on performance in drama and vocal music.

The other aspect of the festival is its traveling art exhibit.  For the past two years the Arts Alliance has coordinated a local traveling exhibit that visits businesses throughout Salem County.

“We're very grateful to these companies for hosting last year's selected works,” Hurst said.  “We look forward to working with them again and we invite other local businesses to join the exhibit schedule this year.  It's a great way to share the wonderful work of these talented young people.”

Local businesses interested in hosting artwork from the Teen Arts Festival may call the Arts Alliance office at (856) 299-7434. The exhibit will be available to travel to different locations in the county after the Teen Arts Showcase in April.
